The CFP Board Mentor Program is designed to help you stay on track while studying for the July 2025 CFP® exam. The deadline to enroll is May 16, 2025. 

Please Note: This deadline is only to enroll in the program, not the deadline to request a mentor. If you have any questions, please contact us at mentor@cfpboard.org.

  • I want to become a Mentee, but the enrollment questions aren’t showing up for me on this page, what do I do? 

To access the enrollment form on this page, you must be signed into your CFP Board account. There is a sign-in button on the top right corner of this screen. Please sign into your account and refresh the page for the enrollment questions to appear.  

 

  • Can anybody enroll in the CFP Board Mentor Program? 

The CFP Board Mentor Program is intended for those registered for the next upcoming CFP® exam.  The Mentor Program aligns with the three CFP® exam cycles per year (March, July, and November) so that mentoring relationships are focused on exam preparation, and that each cohort is focused on the same upcoming exam cycle.  Please participate during your intended exam cycle's enrollment period. Each enrollment period is announced after the close of a previous exam cycle.  

 

  • I've enrolled. What do I do now? How do I search for a Mentor? 

Once enrolled, please navigate to the “Find a Mentor” tab to begin searching for, and requesting Mentors. Please remember that your enrollment may take some time to process on our end. If you experience any accessibility issues immediately after enrolling in the program, please allow 2-3 hours before refreshing your browser and navigating to this page.
