  • 1.  Zahn Test bank- worth the cost?

    Posted 06-15-2019 12:50
    Hello,

I am looking for some input on the value and effectiveness of the Zahn test bank if anyone has purchased it before.

I am taking the exam in November and have completed Kaplan's material in the past. I have the review books for Kaplan but do not have access to the Qbank any longer so i wanted a supplemental large bank of questions.

It looks like the current cost is $189.00 which includes 2100 questions.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

HI Andrew - I purchased the Zahn test bank questions and was fortunate enough to pass the exam on my first try. I went through the questions 4 times in their entirety before I went to the Zahn live review class. The questions are hard but their intention is make sure you fully understand and comprehend the material. If you haven't signed up for a review class I would strongly recommend Zahn. You have to commit to their process, and if you do, you will have a strong likelihood of passing.

    Best Regards,
    Keith

Thanks for the info here guys. I'm all set for the October 2019 Zahn class in KC and was debating whether I should buy the test bank. I'm going to buy it...in the past I absorb material better leaning on the repetition of of practice questions. 2100 ought to be enough!

    Andrew
I purchased the QBank in March and passed the exam. I took the class education twice and looked the pre and after class questions by March 10. But I felt I was not prepared enough. A friend of mine recommend me do more questions banks. I only had 10 days to the test with 2100 Questions. It was hard. I could not solve all 2100 due to the time limit. Maybe I done 1800. I found that there are lots of information that I could miss. I think without the QBank study, I would not pass the exam.

    Hi Young,

Did you feel that taking the live class twice was a huge help or do you think that putting more of a focus on getting through the QBank questions would have a better choice based on your experience? I am currently going back and forth on the decision to attend the class for the second time (same cycle). I found the Chicago class with Carla to be very helpful, but a bit faster pace than I typically study. This is my first go at the board exam, so I am interested to hear your thoughts!

    Thanks,

    Taylor

    Taylor – good afternoon

Yes – taking the live class twice was a huge help. You could catch things that you missed or did not understand at the first time. It gave the clear picture of the charts such as : Estate, College Saving, Retirements, etc.

I did it twice because I rescheduled the national exam. I retook the Zahn. The instructor was the same.
