Laura, I just started a Ken Zahn live review.  Actually the live review isn't until June but there is a lot of studying to do in prep for the course.  In my firm there is a highly regarded gentleman that used the Ken Zahn live review and he is a huge fan of the program.  I've talked to quite a few and they all said it was a great program.  I think Ken Zahn himself only teaches in Florida but I've not heard any negative stuff about any of the folks that teach in other locations.  I've heard one person say that the questions used in the Zahn review are overly complicated but I'm so early in the process that I've not encountered that yet.  Best wishes.

I used the Zahn live review course. I can't recommend it highly enough.  Zahn has people on the exam writing committee. They taught me how to Think and pre for the exam. Also, they had a great review of the material.  I was in Cincy and had a great instructor.

I've also used Zahn live review for the March 2018 exam. It was great - had Bart Brewer in CA. Great tips on what to focus on and how to think about/tackle the exam questions. Felt a lot better coming out of it than going in, and have heard that the questions Zahn gives are much more difficult than actual test questions. I would make sure you give yourself enough time to read through all of the pre-study materials. There are two textbooks covering all topics. You'll be much better prepared for the live review, which is like drinking from a fire hose.

I utilized the Zahn Review course two weeks ago. I took my exam today and got the preliminary pass! I would not have passed without their program. I finished the pre-study material 2 days before the live review and then sat for my exam 13 days after finishing the live review. My schedule was flexible and allowed me to focus on completing the material as they recommend. After the live review I took one day off from studying followed by re-reading the live review book one chapter per day. I then done their test bank questions and practice case studies. I did not purchase their flash cards or additional exam questions. I had plenty of material with what I had. I'd highly suggest them for the live review.I posted this comment on another user's post just before seeing your post in case you see this same post on another thread.

Did you feel the Zahn blocks of 60 exam questions were more difficult than the CFP exam? Also, what were you averaging on those blocks of 60?

Michael - below were my scores. I passed. I just focused on the rational to learn why I missed the question and why the wrong answers were wrong. Everyone's opinion will be different, especially based on which version of the exam you get, but I felt like the Zahn questions were much more difficult than the actual exam. With that being said, the more difficult questions helped me better understand the material.

    Logan,

THANK YOU for posting your scores. I take the exam Monday and am pretty much around the same scores as you on the "final" tests. I was very nervous my low scores meant I was a lost cause so this has given me a bit of a confidence boost.

What kind of scores did you get in the practice exams, if you don't mind sharing? Taking the exam tomorrow and trying to gauge my preparedness.

Thanks so much for the replies! Here's a follow up question: I'm just completing the six courses and the capstone case studies. Do I still need lots of time to reread all the material pre-live class?
