I am a registered financial advisor with Series 6,7, 8,9,10, and 65 licenses. I also went through the CFP course material and passed 4 of the 6 exams towards certification. I'm wondering under the "experience" certification provision where I satand on the road to becoming certified.

It's all based on the amount of time you've spent in roles utilizing those skills that fit the financial planning process.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
CFP® certification indicates to the public your ability to provide financial planning unsupervised, and CFP Board requires you to have 6,000 hours of professional experience related to the financial planning process, or 4,000 hours of Apprenticeship experience that meets additional requirements.
